New Service

In addition to the application, the following are needed:  copy of your driver’s license, copy of the closing statement or lease/rental agreement and a deposit of $165.00 in the form of check, cash or money order.

Policy for City of Dawsonville Utility Bills
Due dates for utility bills are as follows:

  • Utility Bill is due on the 10th on the month  
  • Penalty of $10.00 will be added after the 15th of each month if balance is not paid

Reconnection fees

  • First time reconnect within a 24 month period: $50.00;
  • Second time reconnect within a 24 month period: $100.00;
  • Third time reconnect within a 24 month period: $200.00;
  • Each subsequent violation beyond the third reconnect within a 24 month period results in a reconnection fee increase of $100.00 from the previous violation.

Infrastructure

The City of Dawsonville built the first spring in 1953, which was the first source of water in Dawson County. The City now operates four groundwater wells and a spring, has two elevated storage tanks.  Water is monitored continuously to ensure drinking quality.
